A walk in the garden.
Images by the amazing Igor Termenon.
I have one exam left which I'm writing on Friday so I have Wednesday & Thursday free. I'm sorry if I've been boring you all with the exam updates every post but it's consumed my life for the past while now, however on Friday they'll be finished and I'll have a month of summer sunshine to talk to you all about!

prized
I arrived at home on Friday evening to find a little package waiting for me from faraway land. I was so excited, 'cause I knew exactly what would be inside.
The lovely Kawaii Goodies had sent me over the most fantastic prize after the competition on Betty Bake. I've never won a blogging giveaway before so this is quite a big deal for me!
I can't wait till I get to use my pretty masking tapes, decorating all my Christmas gifts and whatnot.

twenty
I spent the day with my mom, helping her out with her stall at a local Christmas gift fair. It was so much fun seeing all the beautiful, locally produced goods. I'm quite tired though and am going to head to bed early, on a Friday night & all.
Ooh, I also got home to find a pretty, little package for me from the US of A which I shall tell you guys about in the morning time (:

tattoos
I've never been one for tattoos, always thinking them to be a little bit too permanent and a little bit too tacky for my liking, but after hours of browsing the internet cute little pictures seem to pop up and they aren't half bad.
I like these tattoos 'cause they're not the stock standard ones you see on every old Joe but they're individual, different and often very meaningful (not that other tattoos aren't). I'm not sure yet whether I might ever get a tattoo but the fact that I'm thinking about it is a big jump from my thoughts of about a year ago.
Oh, if only my mother read this post she'd probably have a mild heart attack.

benah ss 10'11
I know their AW '11 collection is already out but down here in the Southern Hemisphere we're only going into Summer now. This collection, beautifully entitled Living Light, is the perfect wardrobe for my Summer. Soft blues, lots of floaty white pieces and big bags to carry all my beach attire.
& for those of you who were wondering, my exams went well today, I'm quite chuffed. I now have a four day weekend (:

stressful
Exams have really been crazy this week. I had a maths paper on Monday, an History paper today and I have an Afrikaans and a Physics paper tomorrow. Needless to say my mind is pretty tweaked out.
I have Thursday and Friday off & I shall resume to my normal blog stalking habits then while I do absolutely nothing else just to let my mind switch off before I write my last three exams next week.
The picture is another one from the roll of film I developed last week.

The Alphabet Project
I'm loving these new photo's by Caryn Ashley. The concept is simple but her execution is brilliant.
I'm the only one in flickr universe who favourited these two beauties which I really can't understand. You all better go & give her some love (:
Oh and with regards to my puppy post from yesterday, we took a family vote & her name is Ella.

dad brought home a puppy
The title pretty much says it all.My dad walked in from work with a cute little fluff ball in his arms. She is so sweet and just sleeps all the time except for the little nibble of your toes every now and then (:
She hasn't got a name yet though I'm gravitating towards Lilah, what do you all think?
I don't have sources for either of these photo's. If you know who they belong to, please tell.

Tashkaya S'11
Tashkaya looks to accentuate the beauty of women with an elegance that is simple yet individualistic.
I love finding local artists to showcase to you all. Tashkaya really has lovely summery clothing in the cutest colours and patterns.

My favourites of the week do seem quite dull and dreary, however I guess that sort of sums up my week. In a very teen angsty way.
Ok, it wasn't that bad I've just been a bit out of it. Today was my last school day for the year, I now just have exams to write which actually aren't that terrible. So, this weekend for me is going to consist of studying and maybe watching one or two soccer & rugby games. What are you all doing this weekend?

ten things
1.Crunchy leaves. I always go out of my way to step on the ones that look like they'll really crunch.
2.Hot Air Balloons. I'm so scared of heights but I know that I just have to try out one of these contraptions once in my lifetime.
3.Judging a book by it's cover.
4. Vintage Marilyn Monroe.
5. Wearing the same dress as someone on purpose. My best friend & I have bought matching dresses before, just for the heck of it.
6. Listening to the rain outside while reading Jane Eyre.
7. A regal house fronted by pink flowers.
8. Tom Petty's music

I know I've only written 8 things, it's just tough luck.
Thanks so much again, bonjour bohemian for the lovely award.
I also know I haven't awarded anyone else. Today is just one of those days.

paint me a picture
Illustrations by Lauren Doughty.
I think I like the irony of drawing a camera. Drawing something that is there to take away the hassle of drawing. Although I don't entirely believe that is why camera's were invented.
What do you like to see drawn instead of photographed?
