Stella Marie Baer

Photo of a big bunny rabbit!

I'm enamoured by Stella Marie Baer's thoughtful artwork. At first her pieces appear simple but once you realise you've been staring at them, mesmerized, for the past 30 minutes then it becomes obvious they're not so simple. Or rather, their simplicity is equally as inriguing as other artwork. I'd definitely love to get myself a print of those crescent moons.

It's been a while since I've shared art like this. I've been struggling to get back into a regular blogging habit lately but it's finding work like this that really gets me inspired and excited to spend hours on the internet finding new creatives to oggle.

Kai Samuel Davis lives in Jenner, CA and creates wonderful paintings from his studo on the bottom floor of his home.

Rebecca Artemisa

Photo of a big bunny rabbit!

This week has been tough. So much work and so little time. But I thought since it's Friday and I'm moving tomorrow (eeek)I should share something cheery and whimsical that'll make the end of the week that much sweeter.

Rebecca Artemisa is a painter, drawer and tea drinker from Portland, Oregon. Her work all looks very happy and bright until you notice that it's actually got a bit of a spooky quality to it. It's always fun finding ghosts in unexpected places.

Have a great weekend all!

home life

Photo of a big bunny rabbit!

I've blogged about Stay Home Club before and their line of adorable and completely wearable apparel as well as illustrated goods. They've just released a new collection of pictures of people lazing about in and amongst their wares. It's not really a lookbook as such, more a set of comfortable & cozy images. Also, it's shot by one of my favourite photographers, Laurence Philemone.

Robert Roth

Usually when I come across paintings like these I don't stop to actually look at them. These paintings by Robert Roth were different though. I was captivated by their simplicity and it was pretty darn refreshing. It's nice to step out of your comfort zone and be surprised by how much you like it. Also, go check out Roth's CV, no wonder I stopped and scrolled back up the page.

society 6

A while back I was tossing around the idea of starting my own line of tote bags. After working out all the logistics and realising that it almost certainly wouldn't be profitable I decided to give it a miss. Also, I can't sew so the idea was flawed from the beginning but we'll pretend it wasn't.

I've known about society6 for a long while and am only now realising the genius in the idea. I don't have any designs up now but it's definitely something that might happen in the next few weeks, and it'll be so much more than tote bags!

I thought in order to show my appreciation for the innovative site I'd share a few of my fave finds.
