The rain has finally abated and there's some sunshine peeking through my window. It's finally beginning to feel like Summer. With each day I'm getting more and more excited for the festive season. It must be strange to you Northern Hemisphere folk but I associate Christmas with days at the beach, ice cream and (usually) a mild bout of sunstroke. The last two years I've managed to smother myself in suncream but when I was younger it was a different story.
Anyhow, I hope you all (like me) have a lazy Sunday in the young summer sunshine.

gorgeous shots! It does seem strange to me to have Christmas in summer, but I imagine it would be pretty awesome once I got used to it! haha.
ReplyDeleteI love the atmosphere in these photos. They're beautiful!
ReplyDeleteGosh, this makes me sad that it is absolutely freezing here and so dark! xxx

At first I was confused, but then I saw Signe's comment and scrolled up to read that you live in South Africa! We're heading toward opposite weather where I am. It's totally bizarre for me to think of Christmas being warm & all about ice cream 0.o
ReplyDeleteThese photos are really beautiful. Very emotionally evocative. I totally get the feeling of summer--all that sweet lazy sunshine. . .
Wow such beautiful photos. I did some grocery shopping, and some work on the computer but other then that pretty chill.

Oh im jealous. Where were you? My Australian sunday was filled with pouring rain and a warm cup of tea.
ReplyDeleteI can't wait till the heat comes back and the sun peaks through and I can enjoy my sandy summer Christmas :)
I too associate Christmas with the warmer months and summer family barbecues and drinks outside in the warm light. I cannot wait for December.
