An African twist

Something you don't hear of everyday; a Victorian mansion in Zambia.

I love how it still has elements of the English culture mixed in together with African details but it has kept itself from looking like the little curio shops aimed at tourists, I find lining the streets of Cape Town. It looks as if it's a home.

simply pretty

I know I'm a little young to be oogling over homewares but really how could you blame me? Have you seen these beauties by simply pretty prints, just take a look & then tell me you wouldn't become a pretend hipster housewife in your head, dreaming up ways to display their goods in your future house.







In other news, I've decided to join my school's rock band. A few of my friends have also joined up. I'm more of a musical singer but hey I'll try my hand at some Axl Rose if I get given the chance (:

I knew however that there was someone out there who would most probably have a slight seizure if she saw these. A seizure of joy I tell you.

Well, I showed them to her & you betcha she almost passed out.

Happy Saturday all, I'm hopefully heading off to the local car boot sale to see what I can find.

Maps

Maps are one of my latest obsessions.

There are so many different things you can do with them! I'm always on the lookout for old vintage maps whenever I'm out thrifting. I really, really want an old vintage-esque world map to put on my bedroom wall above my bed like in the first picture. If any of you know a site I can buy one off it would be just dandy :D
