Maps are one of my latest obsessions. There are so many different things you can do with them! I'm always on the lookout for old vintage maps whenever I'm out thrifting. I really, really want an old vintage-esque world map to put on my bedroom wall above my bed like in the first picture. If any of you know a site I can buy one off it would be just dandy :D
P.S. I feel so
guilty as I do not have proper sources for the last two photo's. They were all found on weheartit. If you know of any of the
original sources please comment!
ahh i'm loving vintage maps at the moment too, they look wonderful!
ReplyDeletei would love to plaster my walls with maps too ♥ the first photo is from here - http://www.flickr.com/photos/thecompassrose/4756093005
ReplyDeletethis is my first time commenting, and i like how short and inspiring your posts are ;D
@Chii: Thanks so much for the link! Thanks for saying that about my posts, I do short posts with not a lot of writing 'cause I personally don't read really long posts by other bloggers.

ReplyDeletewow, i love those map posters!
ReplyDeletethey look amazing! :) thanks for the post!
I love maps; I'm particularly interested in using them (along with other unexpected papers) as gift wrap. So pretty.

P.S. You can find the sources of most images now with TinEye reverse image search (http://tineye.com) - and they have browser plugins and bookmarklets so it's super fast to search for something. I found this source for the gift wrap image: http://www.gettyimages.com/detail/89773183
ReplyDelete...but normally you'll find something a lot less "official", or a Flickr page if you're lucky - as I was with the last image: http://www.flickr.com/photos/krishhtine/4399992702/
