Orla Kiely SS14
A few months ago I was getting really sick of absolutely everything having a hint of Moonrise Kingdom in it. Don't get me wrong, I loved the movie but I didn't want to see it every five seconds.
Earlier this month Orla Kiely released her Spring/Summer collection for next year that had a definite girl scout influence to it and for some reason I didn't cringe when I saw it. I think it's because even though the models are covered in frilly socks and berets there's also a safari theme. They look like the modern day version of explorer James Cook, discovering new lands and documenting new species, all while wearing a blouse covered in zebras.

A hint of girl scout is the perfect way to describe this collection! I absolutely love the fun prints and knee socks! xx Kat

I completely agree! The science and animal part balances out the overt girlishness of the styling for me, I really love this lookbook! Hope you're having a wonderful day!
