It's a match made in heaven; Alexandra Grecco + wedding wares . I'm far from walking down the aisle but I can't help but admire these gowns.

Looking for a gown in advance of her own wedding in 2013, she saw an opportunity to create a bridal line of her own and pair her aesthetic with high-quality fabrics and intricate hand-embroidery. Launching in July 2014, the Alexandra Grecco bridal line features ethereal gowns for the less-traditional bride.

The hairdresser and the jewellery maker get hitched. In the artistic/creative sense it sounds too good to be true but here in this wonderful city these things do happen and the most intricately detailed weddings do indeed take place. It's heartwarming to see the sincerity in these images but they also induce a bit of heartache because just how can everything look that good?

miranda + eric

madeulook is a trio of girls who photograph weddings in the most delightful way. Their use of lens flares and faux-analogue styles make their images easy to spot amongst the monotony of wedding photographers. I'm definitely smitten with their pictures of miranda and eric's garden wedding. I kinda wanna steal their pop up 'honeymoon suite' and keep it in the garden, armed and ready for afternoon naps.

The latest preview of Myra Callan's bridal hair adornments.

I've blogged about Twigs and Honey before and their work just keeps getting better. Their most recent collection features their signatures like delicately hand pressed petals of silk and lace, softly hand manipulated feathers curled to perfection, and hand stitched tulle veils. I can't wait for the full collection to be released.

Growing up in a country with such an abundance of cultures readily available for me to explore and encounter I do feel as if I haven't taken up the opportunity to learn more about how others live their lives and what traditions they have when celebrating or even the small, seemingly insignificant things they do without realizing that they are a product of their history and culture.

This is why I was so enamoured by the wedding of Rimi and Jean shot by Celine Kim. This wedding wasn't an evening long as we're used to in the Western world but a week full of colourful festivities and intricate traditions to mark the amalgamation of two families.
