The Sweet Life of Ofelia Rotten

Photo of a big bunny rabbit!

This morning I woke up early to vote in the general elections. It being my first time made it a special experience, however cliche that may be. I'm a part of the born free generation i.e. those that were born from 1994 onwards and have lived their whole life in a democratic South Africa. The fact that that generation is now coming to the legal age is pretty spectacular in itself.

Anyway, I'm not here to discuss politics (there's been too much of that at university lately) but rather share with you all this photoshoot from Helena Exquis. It represents exactly what I want to spend the rest of the day doing; lazing around, eating strawberries and reading my book albeit a lot less provocatively.

  1. It's my first time voting in a couple of weeks as well! It's a nice feeling, knowing that you're finally of legal age to help make decisions about who you chose to represent you.
Lovely images! so dreamy. You always seem to find the best photographers to showcase.
    Have a great week! xx

  2. I'm also in the free born generation (of Lithuania - we became democratic in 1990, I was born in 1993) and I will be voting for the first time in my life in presidet's election on Saturday. I feel so excited and at the same time responsible for my decision. I know that I'm only one person if I get it wrong it won't make any big difference, but a nation is made of a big number of little persons like me, so I think it's really important to vote for the right choice.
And all the politics but aside, I would really like to lay in bed with strawberries and a good book as well! Even that provocatively would do!haha
