shelf life

South Africa has had an influx of Australian stores over the past year or so that have made a big dent in mainstream shopping. Compared to their local counterparts they're just a lot more fashionable. Don't get me wrong, I do all I can to support local creatives, but I've recently come to the conclusion that Australia has some pretty stylish business going on at the moment.

This lead me to Sydney-based homeware store, Shelf Life. Run by a husband and wife team who provide handmade, local and ethical goods. They also plant a tree for each $200 spent in their store. Pretty darn snazzy.
