Today I'm saying goodbye to two friends who are off to university in a different city and embarking on gap year travels respectively. It's still odd to me that everyone is actually getting up and going. It's not odd in that I don't think it's a good thing it's just a bit strange to the system as the concept of the diaspora of my friends once we'd finished high school was always a distant thought but now it's here and happening. They're not going to be gone forever so I don't know why I'm making a big deal out of this.

I'm sorry to put such a damper on your Saturday morning, please forgive me!

  1. Aww, I hope you'll be okay, saying goodbye to friends is really hard... I'm sure their going to miss you... At some point everyone leaves, but you just have to find comfort in the fact that they are leaving to find happiness. xox
PS. Those photos are just beautiful !

  3. oh no! i am so sorry. this happened to me when my friends and i all went off to college freshman year. two of my best friends and i still talk regularly. it's hard, but since we're not in the same town anymore we have so much more to talk about. i just had to say goodbye too a bunch of my sorority sisters who are going abroad for the semester, which was also hard. but it will work out! love your blog. xo

I'm so sorry to hear. I know how it feels like, because It happened to me too last year. Each of us were off to different cities but every holiday we always meet up in our hometown. The best part is that we still feel connected and close and share bunch of stories without getting awkward. I had no idea at first but it works. Hope you and your friends will have the best time to meet again soon. x
