Lady Bonin

Lately I've been trying to drink more tea instead of coffee 'cause as much good as coffee does with keeping me awake it often ends up giving me a headache and just putting me in a generally grouchy mood.

The other day I came across Lady Bonin whose mission is to start a tea-volution. This tea-volution is to provide a healthy alternative to take-away coffee: take-away tea!

The execution of which is just perfect as Lady Bonin travels around the country in her bohemian caravan serving tea to the people and just being generally amazing.

Her paintings remind me of the latest Wes Anderson film, Moonrise Kingdom, especially the third and fourth images. If you haven't gone out to see it yet make sure you do!

Peter Pan

The other day I was thinking about how I hadn't posted any vintage pictures on here in a while and that's exactly when I came across these stills from the first ever film adaptation of Peter Pan.

The silent movie was released in 1924 with the role of Peter Pan being played by a woman. Those mermaid costumes caught my eye, possible Halloween costume? I think so. Although I don't know how mobile I'd be in it.

It seems as if Monday has become wedding day. Last week I posted about Leigh & Brad and today I bring you Anabela & Geoff.

We all know Anabela from fieldguided and if you're as avid a reader as I am you'll be delighted to know that their wedding is as perfect a portrayal of their personalities as any. It's stylish and timeless, filled with vintage flair and quirky accessories.

Light Witch

Yesterday we had some serious doom and gloom weather here in the Mother City and it really put a damper on things. It made me want to get in bed and never get out. Alas I did get out of bed this morning as the weather has given the sunny skies a chance but the thoughts of rain and hot chocolate still linger.

These photos by Light Witch accurately depict my mood towards the weather yesterday. A little dark, a little eerie, a little mysterious and maybe even a little sullen. Although those adjectives are all rather heavy I can promise you my day wasn't a bust, just the weather was.

The weather for this weekend is looking a bit better. Tonight I'm singing in a little concert and the rest of the time my head is in the books. What are you lovelies getting up to?

cats

I think it's safe to say that if you're a blogger you're also a fan of cats. The two go hand in hand. So when Frankie finally shed the light on who was the creative behind the temporary cat tattoos that had been popping up everywhere, I (along with the rest of the blogosphere) had a little squeal of delight.

The lovely Harriet Gray is the genius behind the furry designs. You can buy them in sets of seven or three or just one on its own. Can anybody say Christmas presents!

The Travelling Boutique

Swanfield on Tour is a travelling boutique that takes it's goods all over the world and showcases independent designers from places like London to Amsterdam. Their latest endeavour is to create a conversation between design and the arts and this is where these quirky photos of Alela Diane come in. Alela is their first ever muse and the kickstarter for the 'Swanfield Muse Project' in which they hope to create a gallery of women who inspire. I will definitely be checking back to their muse project over time when in need of some stylish and talented ladies to inspire me.

I cannot wait until we're in the thick of Summer and I can get some of my friends together and do a similar shoot to this. I want to get some big, bright flowers, head to the beach and just have some fun with a camera. It's definitely not an entirely new photoshoot idea but still it's something I want to try.
