World Cup update

The soccer World Cup is well under way. It's getting quite exciting! At this very second Spain and Portugal are battling it out and I have yet to decide which team I want to win. I tweeted earlier that two of the things influencing my decision are Cristiano Ronaldo & Fernando Torres. I do feel slightly guilty about that, but really we're all thinking it!

Who are you supporting? Not just for this match but overall?
I think I'm behind Holland, my step-dad is Dutch & supporting another team whilst living in the same house may be a little bit of a problem. I am also backing Ghana, being a fellow African and all.

Birds of South Africa

Whilst flower pressing the other day I came across this gorgeous book.



Originally published in 1940, it is beautiful. The cover isn't in very good condition but the pages inside seem to be doing pretty well. I haven't been able to read it yet as it is home to some pretty flowers but as soon as those flowers are out I'll take a better look at it.

hello there little owl

Owls have been everywhere lately & I just love it!



When I was younger we lived quite high up on a mountain & every night an owl would come and sit on top of my parents bedroom & make all his cute owl noises. We would all be as quiet as possible & try to sneak a peek at him through the lounge curtain or creep onto the balcony to get as close as possible.



Sadly we could never get too close (he was quite a wise old owl) & whats even worse is that we never gave him a name.



Poor old owl who never got a name.

What do you think would be a cute name for an owl?

World Cup 2010

It's the fifth day of the Fifa Soccer World Cup in South Africa!


Yeah, that picture has absolutely nothing to do with the World Cup but this one does..




I went with my parents & sister to the fan park in Cape Town. It was amazing, there is such a vibe. It's such a nation-building experience the whole World Cup fiasco. My dad watched a full game of soccer which really proves something!

I look so much like her it's actually a bit scary. She died when i was two-years-old so I never got to know her but apparently everything I do is very similar to her just that she was about half my height.

Yo yo!

I'm back!
I had so much fun relaxing & doing absolutely nothing this weekend. My brain was allowed to switch off for a bit (:



I took so many photo's but unfortunately yesterday I was fiddling with my camera and everything kind of went KABOOM.
Ok, not really but I have now lost all the pictures of the weekend. Super bummed. My dad took pictures with his camera so maybe I can salvage some of those. We shall make a plan! :D
