I seem to be obsessing over these darling animals (who are very real btw). I keep seeing pictures of them popping up everwhere & as soon as I saw this little letter, I knew I had to do a post about them to share the cuteness.

my favourite marilyn

I found this collage of Marilyn images yesterday while paging through different tumblr's & I was just flabbergasted.

I never used to be a Marilyn fan, I always found her kind of sleezy, or rather not her herself but just the way she was portrayed and the way her fans were portrayed but lately I've really come to like her, & this collage of photo's of her has got to be my favourite. It's so understated & simple that it is amazing.

I couldn't find the original photographer, if any of you know who it is please give me shout so I can give proper credit.

What are you all doing this weekend? I'm probably going to do some thrift shopping tomorrow with my friends & try and check out the new camera store round the corner from my house. I wanna get some more film so I can take some more film photo's to add to my very little collection. Hopefully their prices aren't too bad.

a place

I have a place just down the road from my house with tall trees and streams & open meadows where people walk their dogs & squirrels reside. I haven't been there for a while, maybe I'll go today.

I could have posted her whole photostream. It was so difficult to choose just a few images.

I cannot get over the way she draws hair, it looks like it has so much texture & it also looks as if it takes forever to draw. My hair used to be long like that but just over a year ago I cut it all off for some reason I have yet to discover but it's growing back at quite a steady speed. I think by this time next year my hair might be back to it's previous length. You have no idea how happy that makes me!

I came across Sunday Apparel via See Me Everywhere. She's giving away the beautiful bow shift top but sadly it's only open to readers in Australasia.

I just love the dress in the first picture, it's perfect to me & can you believe that this is their first ever collection? It's amazing the beautiful pieces they've created.

I adore the last photo. It's so happy. It reminds me of the crazy people I have in my life & how lucky I am. I'm surrounded by fellow teenagers who love art & music, don't think it's cool to get stoned & have the bests senses of humour ever.

My friends may be slightly mentally unstable, but that's the way I like 'em.

I get so excited every time I see that Nen August has updated her flickr page. I am pretty much certain that I will fall in love with what she's uploaded. Her work is often so simple but it just looks exquisite. I wish, oh I wish I could take photo's like her.

Libris Lunaria have an astounding collection of images for sale. The works really are beautiful however I find myself thinking that I could find images similar to these in thrift stores for a lot cheaper.

a house full of magic

I couldn't ever live in a castle as I'd get nothing done. I'd spend my days wearing the best dresses, twirling around the gardens, feeding all the animals, picking the flowers and handing them out to strangers... Actually I'd get a lot done.

Ok, not really but I do find these women beautiful & admire them.

For some reason to me these photo's don't seem trashy or sleezy as they may have to people of the time. I think the big drawing card is that none of the women have been photoshopped. What you see is what you get which isn't the case with many things nowadays.

It's astounding how beautiful something so simple can be. Maybe I'll start hanging my clothes up now? ;)
